The Indigo’s BluChip members now can earn extra rewards on purchases of Apple products as the airline partnered with iPlanet, Apple’s Authorised Premium Partners.
“Our partnership with iPlanet is a thoughtful and strategic collaboration designed to bring meaningful, high value benefits to the IndiGo BluChip members,” said Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital & Information Officer at IndiGo.
“By extending the opportunity to earn IndiGo BluChips on premium lifestyle and technology purchases, we are empowering our customers to accumulate rewards even beyond their travel journeys,” he added.
Under the partnership, customers can earn up to 30 IndiGo BluChips for every ₹100 spent on Apple devices through iPlanet’s online platform as well as its network of over 78 retail stores across India.
The offer covers a wide range of products, including iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watches, AirPods, and accessories. The airline said the initiative is aimed at making the overall customer experience more “seamless, intuitive, and enriching,” while also increasing the utility of its BluChip loyalty programme.
Customers can avail the benefit by entering their BluChip membership ID while purchasing online or sharing it at the time of billing in stores. Reward points will be credited after completion of the purchase cycle.
The move comes as airlines increasingly look to monetise loyalty programmes by linking them with high-value consumer spending categories such as electronics and lifestyle, beyond traditional flight bookings.
IndiGo’s BluChip membership is the airline’s loyalty programme designed to reward frequent flyers and customers for their spending across flights and partner platforms.
Under the programme, members earn reward points, known as BluChips, on booking tickets, purchasing add-on services, and transacting with partner brands, which can later be redeemed for discounted or free flight tickets.
From iPlanet’s perspective, the partnership is expected to drive higher customer engagement and enhance value for premium buyers. “Our partnership with IndiGo BluChip is a strategic step… bringing together premium technology and meaningful rewards,” said Raakesh Ramanand, Managing Director at iPlanet.
“This collaboration allows IndiGo Bluchip members to seamlessly earn IndiGo Bluchips on their Apple purchases, making every transaction more rewarding and experience-driven,” he added.
