India biggest carrier IndiGo will deploy its newly inducted wide-body aircraft on the Delhi-Bangkok route, effective March 1, 2025.
This will be IndiGo's first international flight equipped with the airline's new business class, IndiGo Stretch, which made its debut on domestic routes in November last year.
IndiGo Stretch cabin features 12 seats in a 2-2 configuration, offering more space. The seats come with a six-way adjustable headrest with neck support, 5 inch deep recline, an electronic device holder, a 60-watt USB-Type C power supply, and a three-pin universal power outlet.
This comes weeks after IndiGo entered into damp lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. IndiGo said will continue exploring opportunities to contract additional aircraft.
In order to meet the rising air travel demand, the airline leased a Boeing B787- 9 wide-body aircraft from Norse. “In view of the growing demand for air travel, the induction of a temporarily leased Boeing B787- 9 wide body aircraft from Norse Atlantic comes ahead of IndiGo’s delivery of XLRs in FY2026 and A350s in 2027,” the airline said.
