Kerala’s tourism sector will take centre stage as a premier global brand offering immense investment opportunities at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025) in Kochi on February 21-22.

Tourism contributes over 10% to the state’s GDP and employs 24% of the workforce. Kerala attracts approximately 2.3 crore tourists annually, making it a key focus sector in the government’s New Industrial Policy.

Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the two-day event at Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre, Kochi. The summit will be attended by Union and State Ministers, industry leaders, and around 3,000 investors, along with business delegations from six countries.

The event will feature panel discussions on Global Gateway to Medical Excellence, Ayurveda and Wellness Tourism and Destination for Sustainable Tourism and Responsible Industry, highlighting new investment opportunities in the tourism sector. In addition to expanding infrastructure in established destinations such as backwaters, beaches, and hill stations, the summit will introduce a range of newly identified tourism spots across the state. The event will also showcase investment opportunities in tourism-related startups, particularly in light of the Tourism Department’s partnership with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
