Situated along the banks of Rajpuri Creek in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, this port stands out with its natural harbour and exclusive channel, offering a 14.5 metre depth. As one of the deepest ports in the state, it’s strategically located to drive seamless maritime trade and connectivity.

The port is located 42 nautical miles from Mumbai by sea and 170 km south by road. Its North Bank connects to NH-17 via State Highways (SH) 92 and 96, while the South Banks ties in through SH-97 and 98. Adding to this advantage, the Indapur railway station on the Konkan Railway, just 47 km away, strengthens its position as a key logistics and trade hub.

In August 2024, Union cabinet gave its approval to transform the Dighi Port Industrial Area in the coastal Raigad into a state-of-the-art industrial smart city. Taking shape 55 km east of Dighi Port, the upcoming industrial smart city will stretch across a vast 6,056 acres. It will focus on key sectors like engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles and food and beverages.

When it comes to connectivity, the proposed Dighi industrial smart city already has major road and rail links. It enjoys access to NH753F (Mangaon-Pune) and NH66 (Mumbai-Goa), along with State Highway 97, ensuring seamless road transport.

On the railway front, Kolad, Indapur and Mangaon stations provide crucial rail connectivity.
