The upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which opens from January 17-22, will see a bevy of new electric vehicles by automakers.
Maruti Suzuki India
The country's largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, will showcase its production-ready electric SUV, the e VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Made in India e VITARA was recently unveiled by Suzuki Motor Corporation at Milan, Italy. Maruti Suzuki will reveal battery pack options and range of the Indian market variant at the Expo.
Along with the e VITARA, Maruti Suzuki plans to roll out a comprehensive EV ecosystem which includes a nationwide network of fast chargers available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service touchpoints. “At Maruti Suzuki, we have always believed that to promote EV adoption, we need to create a holistic ecosystem that simplifies customers' battery electric vehicle ownership journey,” says Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India. “A critical barrier to the adoption of EVs is the lack of accessible charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introduce a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem alongside the e VITARA,” he says.
“Our goal is to make EVs accessible, convenient, and appealing to a broader set of customers, and this is exactly what we have set out to achieve with the e VITARA,” says Banerjee.
Hyundai Motor India
Hyundai will launch the much-anticipated Hyundai Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The South Korean carmaker will offer the Creta EV with two battery pack options. Hyundai says the 51.4-kWh (kilowatt-hour) model offers a certified range of 473 km while the 42-kWh variant gives 390 km range on a single charge. Hyundai claims its latest EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes via DC charging.
JSW MG Motor India
The SAIC Motor-backed carmaker’s lineup includes an electric roadster, the MG Cyberster. The Cyberster will be available exclusively through MG Select, a new luxury brand channel. Equipped with a powertrain dual motor, the MG Cyberster delivers 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque. The car features the slimmest 77 kWh battery pack with 110mm thickness.

VinFast Auto India
Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast will announce its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. At the expo, VinFast will display an range of electric vehicles, including the compact mini-SUV VF 3, the three-row VF 9, and a full array of SUVs designed to meet the needs of different customer segments. Alongside these models, the company will showcase its lineup of electric scooters, catering to the ever-growing demand for two-wheelers in India.
VinFast’s participation at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo comes as it looks to establish a foothold in the Indian market. “India’s burgeoning middle class, coupled with strong government incentives to promote EV adoption, makes it a natural focus for VinFast’s global expansion,” the company says.
To cement its presence in India, VinFast began construction of an EV assembly facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu last year.
