Hard work, being passionate about goals and perseverance always pays in the end, says Devansh Jain, executive director, INOXGFL Group and a winner of Fortune India 40 under 40 list of 2024.

Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, the 37-year-old says that despite challenges, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. “Stay focused on your long-term goals. There will be challenges; there will be lots of ups and downs along the way. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Hard work, being passionate about your goals, and perseverance always pays in the end,” says Jain.

According to Jain, he overcame challenges in his entrepreneurial journey through determination, grit and perseverance. “ Turning around a company from the brink of bankruptcy and all the problems that came along, with no management fault. The problems were due to a simple policy change and were very badly handled. The determination, the grit and the perseverance to eventually succeed led me to overcome that,” observes Jain.

Jain, who idolises Gautam Adani, notes that getting the approval of ₹10 crore investment to start Inox Wind has been the turning point of his career. INOX Wind manufactures wind turbines and generators and has four manufacturing plans ay Rohika and Bhuj in Gujarat, Barwani in Madhya Pradesh and Una in Himachal Pradesh.

"After my first IPO, when I listed Inox Wind at a market cap of over ₹10,000 crore. And being told that I was the youngest virtually self-made entrepreneur to list a company with a market cap of over a billion dollars is when I thought I really arrived," says the 37-year-old.
