Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Rendez-Vous with the modern woman

More than a decade after it redefined women's mechanical watchmaking, Swiss luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has expanded its celebrated Rendez-Vous collection with two distinct creations that showcase contrasting expressions of femininity. While the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day is a rare work of horological artistry limited to just 10 pieces worldwide, the Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute embraces understated elegance designed for everyday wear.

Introduced in 2012, the Rendez-Vous collection arrived at a time when mechanical watches created exclusively for women were still a rarity. Combining refined aesthetics with technical sophistication, it reflected Jaeger-LeCoultre's long-standing commitment to creating exceptional timepieces for women while acknowledging the growing desire for watches that could also be treasured as fine jewellery. Fourteen years on, the collection continues to evolve without losing sight of its original spirit.

The highlight of the new launches is undoubtedly the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day, a poetic showcase of the Maison's celebrated Métiers Rares™ craftsmanship. Encased in a 34 mm platinum case, the watch brings together miniature lacquer painting, intricate gem-setting, and mechanical watchmaking in a remarkable display of artistry.

Its transparent sapphire dial features a delicately hand-painted Asian Paradise Flycatcher perched on flowering Korean Dogwood branches. Created one meticulous brushstroke at a time, the miniature artwork is layered over a rotating disc depicting the sun and moon, offering an imaginative interpretation of Jaeger-LeCoultre's signature Night & Day complication. Completing one full rotation every 24 hours, the display creates the illusion of two distinct dials that transition gracefully from daylight to moonlight.

The asymmetrical composition is framed by the collection's signature Floral numerals and a halo of grain-set diamonds, while the platinum bezel sparkles with 48 baguette-cut diamonds, complemented by brilliant-cut diamonds on the case, lugs, and crown. Powering the watch is the self-winding Calibre 733, visible through a sapphire caseback and fitted with a finely decorated 22-carat gold rotor. Paired with a satin-finish blue alligator strap featuring Jaeger-LeCoultre's interchangeable system, the timepiece is produced in an ultra-exclusive edition of only 10 pieces.

In contrast, the new Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute distils the collection's design language into its purest form. Measuring just 29 mm across and only 7.47 mm thick, it is among the slimmest watches in the Rendez-Vous family. Available in stainless steel or 18K pink gold, the watch replaces the diamond-set bezel with a polished convex finish while retaining signature details such as Floral numerals, sunray guilloché dials, and discreet diamond hour markers.

The steel version introduces an entirely new bracelet for the collection, featuring polished lozenge-shaped links engineered to drape fluidly around the wrist while incorporating Jaeger-LeCoultre's quick-change interchangeability system. The pink gold model, paired with a soft taupe alligator strap, offers a warmer, jewellery-inspired aesthetic suited to both daytime and evening wear.

Together, the two new Rendez-Vous models reflect Jaeger-LeCoultre's enduring mastery of feminine watchmaking.
