Budget 2022: Wholesale inflation eases in FY21

WPI inflation stood at 1.29% in FY21, lower than 1.68% in FY20. It was led by food inflation, which fell significantly to 3.15%, from 8.42% in FY20. This was in sharp contrast to retail inflation, which increased to 6.16% in FY21, against 4.77% in FY20.
