After nearly a decade of publicly and privately expressing his desire for the Nobel Peace Prize, and lamenting his exclusion, U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday once again voiced his frustration over not receiving the prestigious honour.

In a sweeping post, highlighting his diplomatic efforts around the world, Trump repeated a single refrain six times, that he will never be awarded the Nobel, “no matter what.”

“No, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do, including Russia/Ukraine, and Israel/Iran, whatever those outcomes may be, but the people know, and that’s all that matters to me!” said Trump in his Friday post on his social media platform Truth Social.

Trump claimed credit for a string of international peace efforts, most recently a treaty he says he brokered between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda.

“I am very happy to report that I have arranged, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a wonderful Treaty between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Republic of Rwanda, in their War, which was known for violent bloodshed and death, more so even than most other Wars, and has gone on for decades. Representatives from Rwanda and the Congo will be in Washington on Monday to sign Documents. This is a Great Day for Africa and, quite frankly, a Great Day for the World!” Trump said.

“I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for this… for stopping the War between India and Pakistan… between Serbia and Kosovo… for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia… for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East which,” Trump added.

This post comes shortly after the Pakistani government formally recommended him for the 2026 prize. In a statement posted on X, the government praised Trump’s “decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership” during the 2025 India-Pakistan standoff. It credited him with helping to prevent further escalation after what it described as “unprovoked and unlawful Indian aggression.”

Despite repeated nominations over the years, from U.S. lawmakers, foreign governments, and allies, Trump has expressed deep frustration at being overlooked by the Nobel Committee. He has frequently raised the issue at rallies, interviews, and meetings with foreign leaders. In February earlier this year, during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump remarked, “they will never give me a Nobel Peace Prize… I deserve it, but they will never give it to me.”
