Turkish Airlines Open is set to return with a strong field, featuring leading names such as Francesco Molinari and Paul Waring. The tournament will take place from April 30 to May 3 at the National Golf Club, located within the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, and marks the fifth and final stop of the Asian Swing on the DP World Tour, forming part of the opening phase of the 2026 season.

Since becoming presenter in 2013, Turkish Airlines has helped transform the event into a marquee fixture, regularly drawing some of golf’s most recognisable figures, including Tiger Woods, Sergio García, Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, and Rory McIlroy. Its consistent positioning on the global calendar has made it a key platform for both established champions and rising talent to compete at the highest level.

Molinari arrives with an accomplished résumé, having made history as the first Italian to win a major with his triumph at The Open Championship. Known for his precision and calm under pressure, he has claimed six titles on the DP World Tour and played a pivotal role in three victorious European teams at the Ryder Cup (2010, 2012, 2018), famously securing the winning point in Paris in 2018.

Waring, meanwhile, continues his upward trajectory following his breakthrough Rolex Series win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, a victory that earned him dual membership with the PGA Tour. He is joined by Andy Sullivan and Alex Fitzpatrick, with Sullivan currently sitting fourth in the Race to Dubai standings, underlining his consistency this season.

Beyond the professional circuit, Turkish Airlines has played a notable role in expanding golf’s global footprint, particularly through corporate and amateur engagement. Since 2013, it has organised the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup, widely regarded as the world’s largest amateur golf tournament. The series brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and golf enthusiasts, offering a platform where sport and corporate networking intersect.

Most recently staged across 122 destinations in 83 countries, the initiative highlights how golf continues to serve not just as a competitive pursuit, but also as a key avenue for relationship-building and international business exchange.
