Airtel network users faced disruptions on Thursday as the telecom major experienced a nationwide outage. The outage tracking platform, Downdetector.com, revealed that around 44% users faced total blackout, no signal by 32% and 24% faced mobile phone connectivity issues. Airtel users took to microblogging site X to share that Airtel broadband and mobile services are down. The most affected cities are Ahmedabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Surat, and Mumbai. Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, and others have also faced similar problems.

Users are facing issues such as call drops issues, slow internet speed, and no connectivity, it adds.

The telecom giant is yet to issue a statement on this massive outage, which has affected broadband and telecom connectivity services. There is no clarity on the reason behind this outage.

This disruption caused great hindrance for people working from home. The outage affected both mobile data and broadband services, preventing users from making calls or accessing the internet.

Customers took to X to vent out their frustrations while tagging Airtel. One user wrote, “We also facing issue with call in airtel nowaday in Varanasi city. Call drop and not connecting on Dial.”
