Equal, India’s data sharing platform along with its investee OneMoney, has appointed retired Supreme Court justice B.N. Srikrishna as chairman of their newly formed advisory board. The Board will assist both companies in advancing secure, consent-driven data sharing, ensuring alignment with compliance to regulatory norms, and encouraging ethical data practices in the ever-changing digital environment.
Equal, founded by Keshav Reddy and Rajeev Ranjan in 2022, made an investment in August 2024 in OneMoney, an RBI NBFC-AA licence holder, leading the account aggregator domain and serving over 200 financial information users.
As chairman, he will lead both Equal and OneMoney’s initiatives to maintain highest standards for security, compliance and consent-driven data sharing practices in the digital economy.
Speaking on being appointed as the chairman, Srikrishna said, “Their commitment to enabling secure, compliant and consent-driven data sharing aligns closely with my work in safeguarding privacy and fostering trust in technology based democratisation of products and services. As chairman of the Advisory Board, I look forward to collaborating on solutions that balance individual rights and aspirations, economic growth and stability of the society.”

Satyanarayana, former chairman of UIDAI, Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Former Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, P.H. Ravikumar, Founding CEO of NCDEX, Anitha Ramachandran, Independent Director on multiple Boards, and Sunil Kulkarni, Fintech expert and advisor with over three decades of leadership in digital banking and payment solutions.
