Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei today threatened the U.S. with "unforgettable lessons", as conflict flares up. Referring to the peace agreement taking a backseat in the wake of the renewed hostilities between the U.S. and Iran, Khamenei said the signature of the U.S. President is worthless and devoid of credibility.
"Now that the American enemy is seeking to escalate the conflict thereby incurring even heavier costs and further humiliation, it should know that the noble nation of Iran and the Resistance Front have unforgettable lessons in store for it," Khamenei said in a post on X short while ago.
In a no holds barred diatribe against the Trump administration, Khamenei said referring to the U.S., "Today, the Great Satan has once again revealed its true, unmasked face, so that this dark episode of criminality and broken promises serves as yet another indisputable testament to the US’s dishonesty, irrationality, unreliability, and malicious nature."
"Coercion, totalitarianism, and brutality are inseparable components of the US creed and doctrine," he said in the post.
"The repeated breaches of the agreement by the Great Satan [the US] regarding the MOU signed by the Presidents of Iran and the US have once again laid bare a fundamental truth: the signature of the US President is utterly worthless and devoid of credibility," he added.
He called for unity at all levels in both civilian and official domains. "Of the most fundamental imperatives at this juncture is upholding the sacred unity throughout all levels of people and officials, and protecting the dignity and independence of our beloved Iran, particularly in the face of the criminal, cunning US enemy," he said.
The series of posts come in the wake of escalation of the conflict with the U.S attacking critical infrastructure in North Iran, including railways, power infrastructure and bridges, according to reports.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military said it carried out the seventh consecutive night of strikes on Iran since Presidential declaration of peace MoU as "over".
According to the U.S. Central Command the American forces have hit surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage, and maritime capabilities.
Iran, meanwhile, has reportedly responded by targeting US allies in the Middle East, including Kuwait. As per reports, a power plant, water distillation plant and an oil facility had been hit.
It may be noted that last week the U.S. also reimposed naval blockade against Iranian vessels.
