He captioned the picture saying, “looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together! President Donald J. Trump.”

This comes in the wake of recent lively exchanges seen among the heads of the three nations – India, China, and Russia, following the harsh measures of reciprocal tariffs imposed by the U.S.

This comes just days after another health-related trend around Trump had gained popular traction on X.

Users’ critical reaction to Trump’s remarks

Following this post, netizens started reacting to his remarks, calling out the U.S. for not respecting its friendly ties with India and for supporting Pakistan. Users wrote on X that India has been focussing on strengthening its diplomatic ties as U.S. decided to impose tariffs on the country.

A user wrote that on the contrary of Trump’s suppositions, India is capable of walking ‘its own path,’ with no partisan relations with any of the countries. The user added that for India, friendship and ties do not entail surrendering and slavery.

“Stop seeing the world in zero-sum games, Mr. Trump,” the user added.

Another user, mockingly, wrote that international relations are not like dating apps; instead, countries are driven by their independent national interests.

“And Lost? No sir, India is playing multi-alignment. It is called diplomacy, not bankruptcy,” the user wrote.

Meanwhile, for most X users, this became the opportunity to excessively derisively use Donald Trump’s favourite phrase, ‘Thank you for your attention to the matter,’ and talking about how India continues to make non-alignment as the basis of its foreign policy.

Another user penned a quick pun out of the situation calling India, Russia and China as nations building global strategy while, Trump giving world some comedy.
