Over 35 million users turn to Zomato when hungry, scouring 300,000 listings across 200 cities in 20 countries. Goyal kicked off 2015 with his first American buyout—Urbanspoon for $52 million—the largest outbound e-commerce deal by an Indian dotcom. Up next: Allowing Indian users to order from 2,000 restaurants. Commissions from the orders will augment revenues from ads. Zomato, which has raised $113 million, is also big on product evolution: cashless payment, live chat with restaurants, and zero waiting time.
