In a difficult year for business, Hingorani—a pioneer in infrastructure PE—led 23 exits worth nearly Rs 1,000 crore, a steep rise from Rs 540 crore in FY13 and Rs 520 crore in FY12. These exits came at 1.8 times invested capital in a market littered with capital write-downs. She also snagged deals worth $1.6 billion from financial institutions for managing their stressed assets in India. Apart from her day job, Hingorani sits on the Investment Commission Board of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative.
