It has been business as usual for Mulye. In the past year, she’s made seven investments, involving an outlay of over $300 million in health care, entertainment and leisure, urban housing, and logistics. In May, she helped Aion Capital Partners, a joint venture with Apollo Global Management, raise close to $1 billion. It was one of the largest India-focussed funds raised in recent times. In the past five years under Mulye, ICICI Venture has concluded 35 exits worth $850 million at a rate of return over 20% a year. Mulye says her goal is to go after stressed and distressed companies.
