By focussing on emerging markets, InMobi has differentiated itself from those two, which are strong in developed markets. In 2012, it entered China, where it’s the leader. In North America, it’s behind Google, Facebook, and Millennial Media. InMobi built a range of capabilities from software development kits to ad monetisation to app analytics. Tewari is proud that his 900-strong company operates mostly from India.
