Apurva Purohit, 52
President, Jagran Prakashan Group
Previous Rank : 46
Purohit says last year was unique in her three-decade career. In March 2018, as the head of a board committee set up by Mindtree, she played a key role in what she calls “one of the very rare hostile takeovers corporate India has ever witnessed”: Larsen & Toubro’s acquisition of the IT services company. She was also instrumental in carrying out operations at Radio City after its listing in 2017. Purohit played her best game in May when Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Broadcast Network sold its entire equity stake to Music Broadcast, a subsidiary of Jagran Prakashan, for ₹1,050 crore.
