In what has been a tough year for the print media, Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson and editorial director, HT Media — which publishes Hindustan Times, Hindustan and Mint — pushed the digital agenda for the group by launching AI-powered news shows on HT Smartcast, among others, and Fab market. Smartcast is a digital audio-on-demand vertical covering multiple genres, including news, sports etc, in over six languages, while Fab market is a B2B e-commerce site for radio stations, OTT channels, and agencies that need audio content in regional languages. In the second half of 2020, HT Media completed the acquisition of Mosaic Digital, the owner of news platforms vccircle.com and techcircle.com. Last year, the company also conducted the HT brand relaunch campaign. "As we transition to a new normal, we are adapting to change and paving the way for a brighter tomorrow," Bhartia says in the annual report for FY21. The group operates radio stations Fever FM, Radio Nasha and Radio One, and multiple websites, including job portal Shine.com.
