As head of Bank of America’s India operations for more than 10 years, Nakhate’s stint is the longest for a CEO of any foreign bank in India. Robust profit, and a constantly growing lending book, with zero non-performing assets, have been the hallmark of her decade-long reign. Her bank exclusively advised Facebook on its $5.7-billion stake-buy in Reliance’s Jio Platforms. This is believed to be the biggest technology deal in the world for a minority stake in any company, and the biggest technology investment in India.
